At Spacer, we are about utilising and sharing local resources to meet a need in the community. Our website makes it quick, easy and most importantly safe to park your vehicle and make money.

It is absolutely free to list! Spacer collects a small fee from Renters to support our service and tech team as well as to advertise your spot both online and offline. This fee appears as a markup on the price you set for your parking spot.

As a rough guide, a lock up garage on average will rent for about $200-$300 a month. The closer you are to public transit, amenities, shopping malls or hospitals, the more valuable your spot is. When you create your listing, we'll suggest a price based on the type of parking spot your listing, and the current market prices in the area.

Spacer advertises your spot both online and offline. We use paid search, social media, internet ads, emails, PR and other forms of marketing.

In the unlikely event of Renter issues, Spacer is available 7 days a week to help solve any issues. Plus, you never have to worry about following up payments. Our finance team will ensure you get paid each month, while your spot is being used.

All listings on Spacer are set to Auto Accept, meaning booking requests are instantly confirmed. If you encounter a booking that you do not deem suitable after it has been automatically accepted, please contact our support team immediately to address the situation and provide a reason for declining the request.

Payments are made into your nominated bank account within 5 business days of the booking start date. Your monthly earnings will then be deposited within 5 days of the monthly anniversary of each booking. We have partnered with Stripe to make sure you get your earnings securely and on time.

Of course. If circumstances change and you would like your spot back, please give at least 30 days notice to your Renter as a courtesy and notify us to update the booking and your listing. This allows the Renter to time to find an alternative spot.

We recommend that you consult with your accountant or tax advisor to understand your personal tax obligations, and any tax deductions that you may be eligible to claim.

Depending on the car spot rented, you can save potentially half what you may pay elsewhere. Rates will vary and are set by Hosts (based on our recommended benchmarks), which are typically set around half the price of other parking garages. That means that you could save $1,000's over the course of a year, parking in a more convenient location near work or in your local neighbourhood.

We appreciate that the safety of your vehicle is paramount. All our Hosts are verified when joining our platform. We also have a huge variety of spots on our website from driveways to parking garages. Each parking spot is secured in a different way, from locks to security cameras to onsite personnel. Pick a spot that suits your needs and where you feel comfortable parking your vehicle.

Your payment is processed securely through Spacer.com with the help of our partner Stripe. It’s simple, safe and seamless. If your host is asking for direct payment, please contact us on [email protected].

Once you have booked your spot, your Host will contact you to arrange handover of the access device. When you have the key, you can start parking straight away!

Yes of course. If there is an unexpected change in situation and you no longer require parking, please notify us ASAP. To be fair to our Hosts, we need to give them 1 months notice so that they can find another Renter. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details.

The 20% service fee is used to create an active and safe marketplace with verified Hosts and Renters, maintain the software platform and provide customer support 7 days a week.

The parking protection plan is designed to assist with the cost of specific damages and theft incidents that may occur while your vehicle is parked.

If your vehicle is damaged, please visit www.parkguardcoveragehub.com/spacerclaims to start the claims process.

In the case of theft, it’s essential to contact the police and file a report as soon as possible. A police report is required in cases of theft.

All claims must be submitted within 72 hours after leaving the parking facility.

No, the parking protection plan is optional. You can choose to opt in or opt out of the plan when completing your parking purchase. If you decide not to include the plan, please be aware that you will be parking at your own risk.

The parking protection plan covers physical damages resulting from accidents or theft, including:

  • Door dings
  • Fender benders
  • Stolen items inside or outside the vehicle
